Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hair styling, customer service, and a flair for creativity. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hair services while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for our clients. Your role will also involve front desk duties and contributing to the overall management of the salon.
Responsibilities
- Provide a range of hair services including cutting, colouring, and styling to meet client needs.
- Perform additional services such as eyelash extensions and makeup application as required.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the salon.
- Assist with front desk operations including scheduling appointments, managing client records, and handling payments.
- Engage with clients to understand their preferences and offer professional advice on hair care and styling.
- Upsell products and services to enhance the client experience and contribute to salon revenue.
- Mentor junior stylists and assist in their professional development.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive working environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or in a similar role within the beauty industry.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Knowledge of current hair trends, techniques, and products.
- Experience in barbering is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to perform makeup application and eyelash extensions is desirable.
- Previous experience in store management or front desk operations is a plus.
- A passion for mentoring others and fostering teamwork within the salon environment.
- Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
