We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Care Home Care Assistant to join our team. This vital role involves providing high-quality personal care and support to residents within a care home setting. The successful candidate will play a key part in enhancing residents' well-being, promoting independence, and fostering a warm, respectful atmosphere.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
- Support residents in their individual care plans by delivering tailored assistance aligned with their specific needs.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Encourage social engagement and participation in activities to enhance residents' mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Uphold health and safety standards by adhering to infection control procedures and safeguarding policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while maintaining a compassionate approach.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and record keeping purposes.
- Valid driving license is advantageous for roles involving home visits or community-based support.
