As a Self-Employed Mortgage and Protection Adviser, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance to clients seeking mortgage solutions and protection products. You will work independently and have the flexibility to build your own client base while receiving the support of a well-established financial services firm.
- Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their financial needs, circumstances, and goals.
- Mortgage Advice: Provide mortgage advice tailored to individual client requirements, including first-time buyers, buy-to-let investors, and remortgaging options.
- Protection Advice: Assess client needs for life insurance, critical illness cover, and income protection, offering appropriate solutions to safeguard their financial well-being.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date with mortgage products and protection policies available from various providers to ensure clients receive the best advice.
- Application Management: Assist clients in completing mortgage applications and liaise with lenders, solicitors, and other relevant parties throughout the process.
- Compliance: Ensure all advice and documentation adhere to relevant regulations and company policies.
- Building a Client Bank: Actively network to build and maintain a strong client base, obtaining referrals and repeat business.
- Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing support to clients throughout the mortgage term and conduct regular reviews to ensure their financial products remain suitable.
- Experience: Previous experience in financial services, sales, or a related field is preferred but not necessary. We'd prefer a genuine desire to assist clients in navigating the mortgage advice process, as we can teach you the rest.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
