Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Linen Porter to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient transportation and organisation of linen supplies across the hotel. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction, supporting the overall operation of our establishment. Previous hotel experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Collect, transport, and distribute clean and soiled linen throughout the hotel premises
- Ensure linen storage areas are kept tidy and organised
- Assist with the loading and unloading of linen carts and laundry equipment
- Maintain accurate records of linen inventory and report shortages or damages
- Support housekeeping staff by providing clean linen as required
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth linen operations during busy periods
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is desirable but not mandatory
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physically fit, capable of lifting and moving heavy linen loads
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
