We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Server to join our front-of-house team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in delivering exceptional service. Whether recommending a wine, describing a dish, or ensuring a table has everything they need, you’ll play an important role in creating the warm and welcoming atmosphere that defines Enoteca By L’UVA.
Hours
This is a part-time position, with contracted hours typically ranging between 10-20 hours per week, although additional hours may be available during busy periods and holidays.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and school holidays is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Deliver a warm, friendly, and professional welcome to all guests
- Provide attentive service throughout the guest journey
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Demonstrate strong menu knowledge, including daily specials, wines, cocktails, and allergens
- Make recommendations and confidently upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience
- Ensure guests leave having received exceptional service
Food & Beverage Service
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining excellent presentation standards
- Assist with wine service and beverage preparation where required
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service
- Monitor tables throughout service and anticipate guest needs
Operational Duties
- Process cash and card payments accurately
- Assist with restaurant opening and closing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the restaurant
- Follow all company policies, food safety procedures, and health & safety requirements
- Support managers and colleagues to ensure efficient daily operations
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with front and back-of-house teams
- Contribute to a positive and supportive working environment
- Assist with any additional duties required to ensure the smooth running of the restaurant
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and organised during busy services
- Basic numeracy skills for handling payments accurately
- A willingness to learn and develop product knowledge
Desirable
- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, bar, or hospitality environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
- Experience with wine service or an interest in wine
- Experience using EPOS systems
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations
