Job Summary
The Key Account Co-ordinator plays a vital role in managing and nurturing relationships with our most important clients. This position involves coordinating communication between clients and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery. The successful candidate will utilise their organisational and analytical skills to support client satisfaction and retention, contributing to the overall growth of the organisation.
Job purpose
- Supporting the Key Account team in the co-ordination of ocean imports to meet our customer requirements.
- Responsible for also organising the transportation of freight between set destinations using either internal or 3rd party resources.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receiving in and processing customer requirements either directly or via 3rd party agents, using the internal Freight system to create job files and accurately enter all the required information.
- Entering costs and charges on completed job files to ensure accurate and timely invoicing out to customers which makes a profit for the business
- Liaising with the finance team in dealing with any invoice queries
- Arranging the efficient transportation of freight using the most cost-effective method to meets the customer needs
- Planning of deliveries, making appropriate checks in advance to ensure the successful and timely delivery of goods.
- Handling releases from the shipping lines, gaining the required authorisations and ensuring any payments / invoices are dealt with
- Any other duties which might reasonably be requested in association with this role to meet the needs of the business.
- Assisting with PO management and reports for various customers.

Qualifications and / or experience required
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a shipping / freight forwarding role
- Experience of using Destin8 and CNS systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
- Thorough Understanding of all Inco Terms
Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
