We're looking for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Reception & Sales person to become the welcoming face of the Craig-y-Don Hotel.
This isn't just a reception role. You'll be at the heart of the hotel, creating fantastic first impressions, helping guests have an amazing stay, and making sure our rooms are filled by turning enquiries into bookings.
No two days are ever the same.
What you'll be doing....Welcoming Our Guests
- Providing a warm, friendly welcome from the moment guests arrive.
- Checking guests in and out efficiently.
- Helping guests with directions to their rooms and explaining our facilities, meal times and entertainment.
- Sharing local knowledge on attractions, transport, taxis, parking, shopping and places to eat.
- Encouraging guests to leave reviews and feedback following their stay.
- Working closely with housekeeping, the restaurant, kitchen and bar teams to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless experience.
- Handling guest requests with professionalism and a smile
Driving Sales
- Answering telephone and email enquiries with confidence and enthusiasm.
- Turning enquiries into bookings by providing excellent customer service.
- Processing reservations accurately across all booking channels.
- Responding promptly to online travel agent (OTA) messages.
- Collecting outstanding balances before guests arrive.
- Managing coach bookings, monitoring room allocations and releasing unsold rooms for resale.
- Checking coach arrival lists to ensure all information is accurate.
- Helping maximise occupancy while maintaining profitability.
We're looking for someone who...
Loves working with people and providing exceptional customer service.
Has excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
Is confident using computers and learning booking systems.
Can stay calm and organised in a busy environment.
Has great attention to detail and enjoys problem-solving.
Is proactive, positive and enjoys being part of a team.
Previous hotel, reception or sales experience is a bonus—but personality, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as important.
