The Role:
We're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded and relationship-focused Partnerships Development & Account Executive to join our growing Sales team in London.
Working closely with the Business Development & Account Manager, you'll play a key role in increasing awareness of PDG's training portfolio and generating delegate bookings. In addition, you will sell across PDG’s Training and Conference portfolio, including tickets and sponsorship packages and have ownership of creating, developing, and delivering sales plans to drive customer engagement and revenues.
This is a varied role combining new business development, account management and consultative sales. You'll work across our market-leading training and conference portfolio, identifying partnership opportunities, managing existing relationships and developing tailored solutions that deliver value for both our partners and their members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify prospective partnership opportunities across the UK
- Build relationships with professional bodies, membership organisations and other strategic partners
- Generate new partnership opportunities through proactive outreach and networking
- Present partnership proposals that create mutual value for both organisations
- Negotiate partnership agreements and commercial opportunities
- Manage and grow existing partner accounts, ensuring long-term success
- Monitor partnership performance, reporting on engagement, revenue and ROI
- Achieve partnership and sales revenue targets
- Sell across PDG's training and conference portfolio, including delegate places and sponsorship opportunities
- Develop and execute sales plans to drive customer engagement and revenue growth
- Use an omni-channel approach including telephone, LinkedIn, email and virtual meetings to generate and convert opportunities
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and customer records using HubSpot CRM
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to maximise commercial opportunities and deliver an outstanding customer experience
- Stay informed on market trends and identify opportunities to expand PDG's partnership network.
What we're looking for:
Skills & Knowledge – Essential
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong commercial awareness with a consultative, solution-focused approach
- Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong research and prospecting skills
- Experience using CRM systems, preferably HubSpot
- Understanding of sales performance metrics and pipeline management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders and external organisations.
Skills & Knowledge – Desirable
- Experience using LinkedIn Navigator, Apollo or similar sales engagement tools
- Knowledge of partnership development best practice
- Understanding of the training, events or professional development sector
- Ability to identify new market opportunities and contribute innovative ideas.
