We are looking for a hardworking and reliable individual to join our friendly packhouse team at Westlands UK. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive environment where you will work with state of the art automated packing machinery, helping to pack fresh, high quality produce ready for our customers.
You will play an important role in ensuring our products are packed accurately, safely, and efficiently, while contributing to a positive team environment and helping to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilties
- Operate automated packing line machinery in line with production schedules and daily targets
- Accurately pack fresh products based on daily orders, ensuring speed and precision
- Set up, adjust, and monitor machinery to maintain optimal performance and output
- Ensure all items meet customer specifications for quality, weight, and presentation
- Inspect products during packing and flag any quality concerns promptly
- Identify and report any faults, breakdowns, or inconsistencies in machinery
- Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning in accordance with procedures
- Handle goods with care at all stages, following company procedures
- Ensure accurate packing, labelling, and palletising of products
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well organised packhouse to support smooth operations
- Follow all health and safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations
- Support the wider team with additional duties to ensure efficient operations
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in a packhouse, production, or manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Experience operating automated or semi automated machinery is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, target driven environment
- Basic mechanical awareness or troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach
Working Hours
- Monday–Friday: 6:00am – finish (approx. 4:00pm)
- Rotational Saturdays: 6:00am – finish (approx. 11:00am)
- Flexibility required depending on business needs and seasonal demand
