Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines by installing tools, fixtures, and programming parameters based on job specifications.
- Operate CNC machinery to produce parts according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Monitor machine operations during production runs, ensuring optimal performance and quality standards are maintained.
- Conduct routine inspections of finished parts for accuracy, dimensions, and surface finish using precision measurement tools.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on CNC equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and troubleshooting minor issues.
- Record production data accurately, including cycle times, material usage, and any deviations or issues encountered during operation.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of G-code programming language and machine setup procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints precisely.
- Ability to troubleshoot machine malfunctions quickly and efficiently.
- Good mathematical skills for measurements, conversions, and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and reporting issues clearly.
