We are seeking a skilled Edgebander Operator to join our bespoke kitchen manufacturing team. You will set up, operate, and maintain our high-end Homag edgebanding machinery. This role requires a sharp eye for detail to ensure premium finishes on high-end, custom furniture components.Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate Homag edgebanders for various tape thicknesses.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished panels for defects, glue lines, and flush finishes.
- Material Selection: Select correct edgebanding tapes, veneers, and solid wood trims.
- Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning, tooling checks, and basic machine maintenance.
- Production Flow: Read cutting lists and technical drawings to process parts efficiently.
- Safety: Maintain a clean workspace and strictly follow all workshop safety guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience operating edgebanders, specifically Homag machinery.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in bespoke kitchen manufacturing or high-end cabinetry.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read technical drawings, cutting lists, and use measuring tools.
- Detail-Oriented: Passion for achieving seamless, flawless finishes on luxury materials.
- Attributes: Strong work ethic, reliable, and able to work well in a fast-paced team.
Pay: £12.71-£13.71 per hour
