About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and community-focused individual to join our team as a School Crossing Patrol. In this role, you will assist children and other pedestrians in crossing the road safely at designated locations during school opening and closing times.
What You will Do
- Stop traffic safely allowing children and pedestrians to cross the road safely.
- Maintain visibility and safety by wearing the uniform and equipment provided .
- Ensure orderly management of pedestrians waiting to cross.
- Report any issues to the School Crossing Patrol Coordinator.
- Attend training and meetings as required.
- Outdoor working in all weather conditions.
About You
- Communicate effectively with children and adults.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Comfortable working independently and following safety procedures.
- Basic computer skills for training and communication.
- Physically able to carry out the role (standing, holding a sign, working outdoors).
Desirable:
- Experience working with children or the public.
- Basic first aid knowledge.
Requirements
- Annual medical check.
- Criminal Records Self-Declaration (DBS check required).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
