Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, reliable Chef to join our team. The ideal person will be able to work independently and manage food production to a high and consistent standard.
The kitchen currently operates 12 -3/ 5-9 Wednesday to Saturday, and 12 -4 on a Sunday, excluding prep time.
Responsibilities:
- Help to plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Be trained in food safety and proper cooking techniques
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist with food inventory and manage kitchen cleaning duties.
- Collaborate with management to develop new recipes and menus
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Manage food costs and minimize waste
Experience:
- Must have experience in a professional kitchen, pub, restaurant or similar establishment.
- Good knowledge of kitchen operations, food production, and food preparation techniques
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
- Cooking and food preparation.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and tools
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with staff and management
Pay: £14.50-£16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
