Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Pharmacy Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pharmaceutical products to customers in a timely and safe manner. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to customer service. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver pharmacy orders to customers across designated routes
- Delivery in a timely manner and efficiently within the suggested time frames
- Ensure accurate and secure handling of pharmaceutical products during transit
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures upon receipt of goods
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper vehicle maintenance and adherence to traffic laws
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer queries professionally and courteously during deliveries
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, ideally within a pharmacy or healthcare setting
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Familiarity with local routes and navigation tools is desirable
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving
- Proven reliability and organisational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently
