RKES Wales Ltd is looking for a reliable, trustworthy and practical individual to join our team as a Caretaker/ Groundsperson / Stores Assistant.
This is a permanent position working 2–3 weekdays per week, with salary to be discussed depending on experience.
About the Role
This is a varied hands-on role that combines responsibility for our stores, workshop, yard and grounds. You’ll play an important part in keeping our premises organised, safe and presentable while ensuring our staff have the equipment and materials they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organise the company stores.
- Receive, check and put away deliveries.
- Issue stock, tools and equipment to employees.
- Monitor stock levels and replenish supplies as required.
- Purchase stock and materials from approved suppliers.
- Keep accurate stock records where required.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised workshop.
- Carry out general caretaking duties across the premises.
- Cut grass, trim hedges and maintain the company grounds.
- Operate and maintain tractors, strimmers, chainsaws and other grounds maintenance equipment.
- Carry out basic maintenance and repair tasks where appropriate.
- Ensure the site remains safe, clean and presentable at all times.
- Assist with other practical duties as required.
Essential Requirements
- Honest, dependable and trustworthy.
- Able to work independently using your own initiative.
- Physically fit and capable of outdoor manual work in all seasons.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience using grounds maintenance equipment such as chainsaws, strimmers and tractors.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
Desirable
- Experience of stock control or stores management.
- Chainsaw certification (or willingness to obtain).
