Responsibilities

- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauté stations
- Assist in the organisation and management of kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations to comply with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to guests
- Support junior kitchen staff with training and guidance as required
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Ability to serve guests courteously when required, demonstrating excellent customer service skills
