We are looking for someone with housekeeping experience to join our housekeeping team.
Hours are 9am to 3 or 4pm up to 5 days a week - full and part time considered.
Live-out position only and we encourage and welcome applications from out-with the Aviemore area for those who can either drive or use the Ember bus due to it's large availability of scheduled transport times.

Our Housekeeping Team is the backbone of our operation. We are currently looking for a thorough, reliable, and energetic Housekeeper to join our team and help us maintain our reputation for spotless accommodation.
The Role
As a Housekeeper at The Cairn, you will play a key role in ensuring our guest bedrooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Rooms: Daily cleaning and servicing of bedrooms, including changing bed linen, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and restocking guest amenities (tea/coffee trays, toiletries, etc.).
- Bathrooms: Thorough cleaning and sanitising of en-suite bathrooms and fixtures to high hygiene standards.
- Public Areas: Assisting with maintaining clean and welcoming communal areas, hallways, stairwells, and lounges.
- Linen & Stock: Sorting linen, reporting damaged items, and keeping linen stores tidy and fully stocked.
- Maintenance Reporting: Identifying and reporting any room maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards immediately to management.
- Lost Property: Handling and logging left-behind guest items in accordance with hotel policy.
- Guest Interaction: Providing a friendly face and warm greeting to guests you meet in the corridors, helping with minor requests when needed.
Who We Are Looking For
- Experience: Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in hospitality is preferred, but full training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude.
- Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for cleanliness, organization, and those small extra touches that elevate a guest's stay.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting linen, bending, stair climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability: Excellent timekeeping skills and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends, bank holidays, and busy holiday periods.
