We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only preparing coffee and tea but also ensuring that our customers have a delightful experience from the moment they enter our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist customers in selecting menu items and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Operate coffee machines and equipment safely and efficiently, performing routine maintenance as needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage the till effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and address any inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Participate in food preparation tasks as required, adhering to hygiene standards.
Skills
- Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Basic maths skills for managing transactions and handling cash accurately.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Previous experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Available to work weekends, and a definite need for a flexible approach to working hours.
