Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painting and Decorator Supervisor to oversee painting projects and decorating teams within a commercial decorating company. Including Fit outs and refurbishments.
In this role, you will be managing on-site operatives, ensuring high-quality work is completed safely and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory experience in painting and decorating, SSSTS certification, minimum Blue CSCS card, and a strong understanding of Health & Safety.
Responsibilities
- Managing snagging (understanding of snagR/ Procure or other snagging software essential)
- Final finishes, and touch-up works
- Ensuring works are completed in line with drawings, specifications, and programme
- Carrying out daily site and plant inspections and maintaining high quality standards
- Enforcing Health & Safety compliance, including inductions and toolbox talks
- Working with Contracts Manager to coordinate labour and materials
- Reporting progress, delays, and issues
- Liaising with site teams and subcontractors to resolve defects and sequencing issues
Qualifications
- SSSTS or SSMTS
- Blue or Gold CSCS
- Proven experience in supervising painting or decorating teams within commercial or residential environments.
- Strong knowledge of interior finishes and snagging processes
- Good understanding of site Health & Safety procedures
- Proficiency in snagging and reporting sofware
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, capable of liaising confidently with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- IT capable - producing reports and online reporting, use of client Apps
Pay is negotiable and dependent on experience
Pay: From £160.00 per day
