A home, not just a service
Appley Cliff provides high-quality person-centred care for up to 13 disabled adults. We support people of all ages to live as they choose. Residents can make the most of life on the Isle of Wight, and take advantage of our fully accessible facilities and beautiful gardens.
Your working hours
This is a part-time role, working 30 hours per week Monday - Thursday (9am-5pm). With flexibility to work Friday if needed (which would fall within the 30 hour contract)

What you’ll do

Carry out day-to-day repairs and general maintenance of the building and grounds

Support planned maintenance schedules, liaising with external contractors where required

Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and company procedures

Conduct regular checks on equipment, fire alarms, and emergency lighting

Help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors
What helps you shine here

Basic maintenance or handyman skills (painting, plumbing, joinery, or similar)

Good understanding of health and safety requirements

Ability to work independently and manage your own workload

Friendly, professional attitude and willingness to help others

Previous experience in a care home or similar setting (helpful but not essential)
