About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and professional HGV Lorry Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers, ensuring excellent service and compliance with all road transport regulations.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who takes pride in delivering high standards of safety, efficiency and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV vehicles in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Complete deliveries and collections within scheduled timeframes.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.
- Ensure all delivery paperwork and records are completed accurately.
- Load and unload goods where required, ensuring loads are secured correctly.
- Adhere to driver hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations.
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner when interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times.
Essential Requirements
· Must hold a valid HGV licence - Category 'C',
· Must hold a Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC
· Full UK Driving Licence
· Ability to undertake manual work.
· Flexible approach to working hours is required in relation to finishing times, weekends, and bank holidays.
· Excellent customer service skills
· Team Player
· Good Communication skills (both verbal and written)
· Good Knowledge of driver's hours, rules, and regulations
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in multi-drop deliveries.
- Forklift licence.
- Experience using electronic proof of delivery systems.
