We're looking for reliable, confident and customer-focused Duty Managers to support the smooth running of our swim academies during our busiest periods. This flexible role is ideal for students, those looking to supplement their income, or anyone seeking regular weekend and evening work.
The Role
As Duty Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the operation of the swim school during your shift. You'll be the main point of contact on site, ensuring lessons run smoothly, supporting families and maintaining our high standards of customer experience.
This is a varied, hands-on role that suits someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems and taking responsibility in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome families and provide a friendly, professional first impression.
- Respond confidently to parent enquiries and resolve issues where possible.
- Deliver a welcoming, organised and premium experience for every customer.
- Handle customer queries and concerns professionally and escalate where appropriate.
Site Operations
- Open and close the site when required.
- Ensure lessons run on time and the site operates efficiently.
- Carry out regular safety and facility checks throughout your shift.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and organisation.
- Report any operational or facility issues promptly.
Health & Safety
- Ensure safeguarding, health & safety and company procedures are followed at all times.
- Respond calmly and confidently to any incidents or emergencies.
- Complete incident reports accurately when required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, approachable and enjoys working with people.
You'll ideally have:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Confidence working independently and taking responsibility.
- A calm, professional approach under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Previous experience in hospitality, leisure, retail or customer service is desirable but not essential.
A background in swimming or the leisure industry is helpful, but not required.
