We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled with care and secured properly during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any issues encountered.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including heavy lifting of goods and stock organisation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving requirements.
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for the vehicle type (e.g., car, van, or lorry).
- Experience in warehouse work or logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
