Part Time Support Worker (Waking Nights)

Dyffryn Support Agency is a well-established family-run business with a longstanding and diverse workforce. We are looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our small, friendly team in Kinmel Bay, supporting people to live independent and fulfilling lives within a supported living environment.
This is a part-time waking night role working from 7.30pm to 8.30am (13 hours), one night per week. As we provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, there is also the opportunity to join our casual bank team and pick up additional shifts to cover annual leave, training and other absences.

The Role
You will receive comprehensive training and support to help you succeed in your role.
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will remain awake throughout your shift, ensuring the safety, wellbeing and comfort of the people we support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing reassurance and support during the night as required
- Assisting with personal care and other individual support needs
- Carrying out wellbeing and safety checks
- Maintaining accurate digital records and reports
- Supporting the upkeep and cleanliness of the home
- Encouraging independence and respecting individual choices and preferences
- Promoting a safe, welcoming and person-centred environment
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is reliable, trustworthy and committed
- Can work independently and remain alert throughout the night
- Is confident using computers and digital systems to record information
- Has a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Is caring, respectful and compassionate in their approach
Previous experience in a similar role or a qualification in Health and Social Care would be an advantage but is not essential. Full training will be provided, along with support to achieve relevant qualifications while working with us.
