Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments across various sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in landscape maintenance with practical experience in operating a range of power tools and machinery. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work outdoors, contribute to the upkeep of green spaces, and develop skills within the groundskeeping and construction sectors. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy and attractive outdoor spaces.
- Operate mechanical equipment such as excavators, irrigation systems, and other specialised power tools safely and efficiently.
- Use hand tools for tasks such as trimming, edging, digging, and planting.
- Assist with construction-related tasks such as installing features or preparing ground for new developments.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by clearing debris and ensuring safe pathways around sites.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential hazards or areas requiring repair or attention.
- Support team members with specialised and general site upkeep.
Experience
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance is highly desirable but not essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment is essential.
- Candidates should demonstrate organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety standards.

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
