Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer to join our busy, fast paced department in Studley. As a Temporary Works Design Engineer you will work on a variety of projects involving abnormal load transportation and installation solutions nationwide.
1. Key responsibilities
- Checking temporary structure designs involving our bespoke equipment including calculations, drawings and design certificates
- Conduct structural analysis and calculations of existing equipment to ensure they meet safety and design standards
- Design modifications to existing equipment or design new where required
- Produce drawings of designs and modifications to suitable standard for manufacture
- Obtain or provide pricing for estimating purposes

3. Qualifications / Skills
· BEng/MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
· 3 years of experience preferably with a mix of site and design office/Design Experience with exposure to Temporary Works Design
· Incorporated/chartered with a relevant institution (or in the process achieving such a qualification)
· Proficiency in structural analysis and CAD software (e.g. Tekla TEDDS, STAAD Pro and AutoCAD)
· Working knowledge of BS 5975 and experience with steelwork and timber Codes
· Able to coach and mentor others
· Good IT skills- Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point
· Full Driving licence
