Delivery Driver
Required on a casual basis depending on business levels. Would suit a retired person or someone needing to work around school hours. Based in Swadlincote and we cover the Midlands area for deliveries. Must be over the age of 25 for insurance purposes and be able to drive a manual van.
Job Purpose
To assist our kitchen and operations team in the packing, delivering and collecting of buffets
Job Description
- You will need to demonstrate great time management skills to ensure your routes are planned, achievable and on schedule
- A good knowledge of the local area is required
- You will be a trustworthy and reliable member of the team
- To deliver corporate lunch buffets to our corporate clients, ensuring timescales are met and delivery is in a personable and friendly manner
- Liaising with the Operations Team to review and plan the logistics for the route on a daily basis
- Loading and unloading the vehicles before and after deliveries
- Checking off all lunches/products before leaving site
- Maintaining standards within the company vehicles
- Accurately complete mileage logs each day
- To assist in ensuring a high level of health and safety, cleanliness and food hygiene and to ensure safe working practices are followed.
- Disposing of rubbish in the appropriate places
- To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job
Qualifications
- Valid manual driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers
