Duties
- Perform deep tissue and sports massage techniques tailored to individual client needs, focusing on muscle groups and connective tissues
- Assess client conditions and develop personalized treatment plans to address specific pain points or athletic goals
- Maintain a thorough understanding of human anatomy to ensure safe and effective massage therapy sessions
- Educate clients on post-treatment care, stretching routines, and injury prevention strategies
- Keep detailed records of treatments provided, client progress, and any relevant health information
- Ensure all massage equipment and treatment areas are sanitized and maintained according to health standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages client relaxation and satisfaction
Experience
- Proven experience in deep tissue and sports massage therapy with a strong understanding of anatomy
- Certification from an accredited massage therapy program and valid licensing or registration as required by local regulations
- Knowledge of injury rehabilitation techniques and athletic recovery methods is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to effectively assess client needs and explain treatment benefits
- Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience working with athletes or active individuals is a plus
