Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to grow our business within Southeast England focusing on the hospitality sector including hotels, restaurants, leisure facilities, sporting venues and event caterers. You’ll be championing our exciting range of products, working closely with existing and potential customers to boost profitable sales, build lasting relationships, and achieve your KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving initiatives to hit (and exceed) sales and margin targets.
- Proactively seeking out new customers and creating strong, long-term partnerships.
- Managing your own portfolio of existing accounts- maximising their potential and profitability by introducing them to our full range of products.
- Providing accurate customer forecasts to support planning across the business.
- Introduce premium ice cream to our existing customers.
- Following up on leads given from the internal sales team.
- Manage the relationship with the customer to ensure all opportunities and queries are managed to retain the customers long term loyalty.
- Collaborating with other BDMs, Internal Sales, and Customer Services- sharing your expertise and supporting on product application and brand awareness.
- Provide accurate reporting and information within the correct timeframe.
- Representing Destiny Foods at trade shows and events as required.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
- Experience selling into the foodservice sector or a customer-facing role within the food industry.
- A passion for food – and of course desserts – is essential.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and results-driven.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and develop sales opportunities.
- Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a portfolio of customers.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the designated territory.
Desirable:
- Experience within the bakery, dessert, frozen food, or wider food manufacturing sector.
- Existing network of contacts within foodservice, hospitality, or catering.
- Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Commercial chef background with a strong understanding of foodservice operations.
- Experience attending exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events.
- Creative mindset with the ability to identify new commercial opportunities.
- Confident presenting products and concepts to customers and prospective clients.

Pay: From £33,500.00 per year
