We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef/Cook to join our small, friendly team. Duties
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring smooth operation during service hours
- Manage food production processes, including portion control and presentation standards
- Oversee food safety practices, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in compliance with regulations
- Organise and manage kitchen workflow to optimise efficiency and minimise waste
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
- Be able to work solo or as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within hospitality or restaurant settings
- Previous supervising or team management experience is highly desirable but not necessary as a small team and will restructure once candidate is found.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
- Ability to lead a team confidently while maintaining high standards of service
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with staff and management effectively
