Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Foster a welcoming and positive environment that encourages guest engagement and repeat visits, ensuring every guest leaves with a memorable experience
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximize sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times, including proper handling and storage of food items
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting the kitchen team when required
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, tables, and service stations throughout shifts
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menu, including food and beverage pairings, to offer expert recommendations and enhance the dining experience
- Prepare and serve cocktails and mocktails to a high standard, ensuring consistency and creativity in every drink
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is essential
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is desirable
- Familiarity with basic maths for billing and cash handling purposes
- Experience with food preparation or culinary activities is a plus but not mandatory
- Experience in crafting a variety of cocktails and mocktails is highly preferred, with a strong understanding of mixology techniques. Ability to create signature drinks and offer recommendations based on guest preferences is a plus
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, supporting colleagues as needed to ensure an excellent guest experience
