About the Role
As a Homecare Assistant, you will provide personalised, compassionate support to individuals within their own homes, helping them to maintain their independence, routines and quality of life.
Your role may include:
- Providing companionship and meaningful conversation
- Supporting with meal preparation, nutrition and hydration
- Helping clients maintain their independence at home
- Supporting clients with mobility and community access
- Accompanying clients to appointments, shopping or social activities
- Following individual care and support plans
- Maintaining accurate care records
- Recognising and reporting changes in a client's wellbeing
- Communicating professionally with clients, families and other professionals
Who We're Looking For
You don't need to be perfect on paper. What matters most is that you are caring, dependable and genuinely interested in supporting people well.
Previous care experience is welcomed but is not essential.
Ideally, you will:
- Have a compassionate and respectful approach
- Be reliable and professional
- Communicate confidently with clients and families
- Be comfortable working independently
- Be able to use basic digital systems for care records
- Hold a full driving licence and have access to transport, where required
Prefer to Work Self-Employed?
We also offer opportunities for experienced self-employed care professionals:
£17.50 per hour Monday to Friday
£18.50 per hour at weekends
Self-employed applicants must meet the relevant requirements for working independently and will be responsible for their own tax, National Insurance and other self-employed obligations.
