We're looking for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join our Sizewell C team based in Suffolk.
Location: Sizewell C, Suffolk
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join the Sizewell C New Nuclear Build contract, supporting a nationally important energy project. The role will lead the project health, safety and wellbeing function, providing competent and proactive leadership to the project team, supply chain and stakeholders. You'll drive a positive safety culture, influence operational decision-making, and ensure risks are identified, controlled and communicated effectively throughout the lifecycle of the works.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you'll be working within the Sizewell C team, supporting them in delivering a nationally important energy project. Your day to day will include:
- Leading the implementation and continual improvement of health, safety and wellbeing policies, procedures and standards across the project,
- Providing visible leadership to the project team and supply chain, promoting a proactive culture focused on prevention, engagement and learning,
- Reviewing and providing assurance over Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safe Systems of Work and other critical documentation,
- Leading site inspections, audits, assurance visits and compliance reviews, ensuring accidents and incidents are investigated effectively with lessons learned embedded,
- Advising senior project leadership on compliance, risk management, legal duties and best practice, whilst championing wellbeing and an inclusive workplace.
What are we looking for?
This role of Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager is great for you if:
- You hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent as a minimum, with NEBOSH Diploma,
- You have civil engineering, infrastructure or major projects experience, preferably within a principal contractor environment,
- You possess a strong understanding of UK construction health and safety legislation, CDM Regulations, risk management and major project governance,
- You have proven ability to lead, influence and coach operational teams, supply chain partners and senior stakeholders with excellent communication skills.
Due to the site being a nuclear project, BPSS level security clearance is required - these checks can take 4–6 weeks to process.
