HGV Class 2 Driver

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused HGV Class 2 Driver to join our growing team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for driving our HGV Class 2 vehicle throughout Northern Ireland, delivering heating, ventilation and insulation products to customer sites. However, flexibility is essential, as you may also be required to drive other company vehicles when operational needs require.
As you will be representing the company at customer premises, a professional, friendly, and helpful attitude is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Primarily drive HGV Class 2 vehicles throughout Northern Ireland.
- Operate other company vehicles as required.
- Complete multiple deliveries and collections daily.
- Deliver products safely to customer sites and unload materials in the designated locations.
- Load and off-load products safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all loads are correctly secured before transport.
- Obtain customer signatures and accurately complete all delivery paperwork.
- Comply with all road traffic laws, driving hours regulations, and Working Time Directive requirements.
- Carry out manual handling duties as required.
- Assist with warehouse duties when not driving.
- Help load and unload company vehicles and incoming deliveries.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and ensure PPE is worn at all times.
- Maintain a professional manner when dealing with customers, colleagues, and members of the public.
Essential Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Good geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland.
- Professional and courteous communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and organised.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
- Willingness to assist in warehouse operations when required.
- Flexibility to work overtime as required.
