We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to support the expansion of the Single Point of Access/Rapid Response Service, launched in November 2024 following the success of the Blue Light Triage Team. The service works closely with emergency responders to provide timely mental health support in the community, reducing unnecessary conveyance to A&E and minimising the use of Section 136.
The team offers advice to emergency services and can provide on-scene support, ensuring individuals in mental health crisis receive appropriate care while reducing the time emergency services spend managing mental health incidents.
This role has a strong operational focus, including rota management, staff supervision, performance monitoring, workforce support and service development. Working alongside the Service Manager, the successful candidate will help ensure safe, effective and high-quality service delivery.
To be responsible for aspects of operational management.
Line Management and supervision of staff.
To provide clinical cover where appropriate.
To be able to assess and manage high-risk service users in a variety of settings, conduct risk assessments and formulate robust individualised and dynamic safety plans.
To be able to demonstrate the ability to make appropriate decisions under pressure taking into consideration the risks to service users, self and others and to be able to assess the often complex situations of these service users.

To carry a clinical caseload as agreed with service manager and to take a lead on management of complex cases and supporting staff in management of such cases.
To ensure that the team functions in line with the care group core business.
To coordinate recruitment and selection of staff within the team, leading on decisions as designated by the service manager.
To respond to SUIs as appropriate and support any subsequent investigation
To respond to complaints
To respond to communications regarding team issues
