Good Day Cafe and Bakery is an award winning, busy, and dynamic city centre brunch spot! We like to make good food and have a good time, and need someone ready to get stuck into a new challenge.
We are looking for a full time brunch chef to join our small but mighty kitchen team!
Good Day Cafe runs a busy brunch service seven days a week with a focus on good food, good cake, and good times.
The Role:
- Prepping fresh items for a brunch service.
- Cooking and plating brunches with an eye for detail and consistency during a busy service.
- Communicating clearly with your kitchen team-mates to ensure a smooth and speedy service.
- Running the pass and communicating clearly with a large front of house team.
- Keeping your area clean and organised, as well as helping to ensure the kitchen as a whole is kept clean and tidy.
- Working efficiently to ensure all prep work and cleaning is completed on time.
- Bringing a positive, can-do attitude with you every day!
The hours:
- Full Time: 35 hours (over 5 Days, on an 8am-3:30pm shift)
- Regular shifts, daytime only, no splits, no nights. Usually 2 weeks notice of shifts.
- Weekend and school holiday availability is a must.
The Pay:
- Starting wage will depend on experience.
- All team members get a fair share or tips and service charge, totalling to an additional £1.50-£2.50 per hour depending on the season.

The ideal candidate will be:
- Hard working.
- A great communicator.
- Able to keep a cool head under pressure.
- Have at least one year's kitchen experience.
- Be available to work weekends.
