Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 Driver, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring on-time arrivals and departures
- Secure loads properly ensuring stability during transit and compliance with safety standards
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and delivery confirmations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries
- Maintain a professional attitude while representing the company’s commitment to excellent service at all times
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, specifically with delivery operations
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards relevant to large vehicle operation
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as securing loads and performing vehicle inspections
- Strong navigation skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members and clients
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings or weekends if required
