We're looking for someone who genuinely loves great food, interesting wine and creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Crushed & Cured isn't your average bar. We're an independent wine shop, deli and wine bar where people come to discover new wines, share cheese and charcuterie, and enjoy good conversation. We take what we do seriously, but never ourselves.
If you're someone who gets excited by a great bottle, loves recommending food and drink, enjoys busy services and wants to work somewhere with character, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming customers and delivering warm, knowledgeable service
- Preparing and serving wines, beers, soft drinks and other beverages
- Creating beautiful cheese and charcuterie boards and preparing our small plates
- Chatting with customers about wine and making recommendations based on their tastes
- Keeping the bar, shop and service areas clean, organised and well stocked
- Helping create a friendly & laid-back atmosphere
- Working as part of a close-knit team during busy services
What We're Looking For
- Previous hospitality experience in a busy, hands-on environment
- A genuine interest in wine, artisan food and independent hospitality
- Wine knowledge is a bonus, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are even more important
- Someone who enjoys talking to people and making them feel at home
- Calm under pressure with excellent attention to detail
- A positive team player who's happy to muck in wherever needed
Availability
This role is ideal for someone with good flexibility.
We're particularly looking for someone who is available to work evenings, including Friday and Saturday nights, as these are some of our busiest and most important trading periods. Weekend availability is essential, although shifts will vary from week to week.
