Are you an experienced Care Home Manager, Registered Manager or Home Manager looking for a new opportunity in Stockport?
We are recruiting an experienced Care Home Manager to take overall responsibility for a luxury elderly care home in Stockport, Greater Manchester.
This is a senior management opportunity for an experienced Care Home Manager with a strong background in elderly care, residential care, dementia care and CQC compliance.
Candidates with or without an active NMC PIN will be considered. A nursing background is advantageous but is not essential.
About the Care Home Manager Role
As Care Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the successful day-to-day management of the care home. You will lead the team, maintain excellent care standards and ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred care.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the care home.
- Leading, motivating and developing care teams.
- Maintaining high standards of elderly care and resident experience.
- Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and legislation.
- Managing safeguarding, care planning, audits and quality assurance.
- Supporting excellent dementia care and person-centred care.
- Managing recruitment, induction, supervision and staff performance.
- Managing budgets, staffing, resources and occupancy.
- Building strong relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
- Leading continuous improvement across the care home.
- Preparing for and supporting CQC inspections and external reviews.
Care Home Manager – Requirements
We are looking for an experienced Care Home Manager who can demonstrate strong leadership and a proven understanding of the elderly care sector.
Essential
- Previous experience as a Care Home Manager, Registered Manager or Home Manager.
- Experience managing an elderly care or residential care service.
- Strong understanding of CQC compliance, regulation and quality standards.
- Experience managing care staff and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, risk management and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong organisational and commercial awareness.
- Passion for delivering outstanding, person-centred elderly care.
Qualifications
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Health & Social Care, or equivalent, is preferred.
NMC PIN is not essential.
Candidates with an active NMC PIN and nursing background are welcome, but experienced Care Home Managers from a residential care background will also be considered.
