Job Summary
BP Carpentry & Joinery are seeking a motivated and detailed Painter/Decorator to join us. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative coatings with precision and attention to detail
- Follow project specifications, safety guidelines, and deadlines to deliver timely results
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors to clarify project requirements and updates
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper disposal of waste materials
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary touch-ups or corrections
- Operate relevant tools and equipment safely, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, scaffolding, and ladders
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting or decorating roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Knowledge of different painting techniques and decorative finishes
- Valid driving license preferred for travel between sites
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and clients
- Familiarity with safety protocols in construction environments is essential
