Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment and vehicles on site in readiness for retail. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with good mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience to contribute to the smooth operation of our organisation. The position involves working with a range of tools and technical diagnostics tools, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose faults using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, equipment, and other specialised instruments.
- Fit and install parts as required, following diagnosing faults
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely when handling large or bulky parts or equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts utilised.
- Assist with equipment upgrades or modifications to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Provide excellent customer service by liaising with other departments to minimise downtime and resolve technical issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic in motor vehicles
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems on vehicles
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic devices.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various types of machinery and equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and accurately.
- Experience in performing heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
