Summary
The children, staff and governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated SEND HLTA to join our school.
Heasandford Primary School is a large and popular school, located close to the centre of Burnley. We are an inclusive school, serving a diverse community, in which every child is valued, including children with SEND. All staff work hard to ensure we provide the best for our children and their families and the children are always at the heart of everything we do.
The successful applicant will:
- Lead the day to day organisation and running of the adapted provision, ensuring a structured, purposeful and supportive learning environment.
- Be committed to upholding our school's values and nurturing ethos
- Have a passion for developing children with SENDs learning across the curriculum
- Build strong relationships with children with SEND, staff and families and work as part of a team
- Be committed to whole-school life and be willing to support extra-curricular activities and school events, if required
- Be able to demonstrate good communication skills
- Show a willingness to develop and engage in continuous professional development
Weekly working hours are: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm (31.5 hours), term time only.
The position is Grade 7 (£32,062 - £36,363), however as this position is part time, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent and if successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

- HLTA status

- Experience of working with children with SEND
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of approaches to support communication, interaction and engagement
Experience of working with pupils with EHCPs or highly personalised provision
