Overview
We are seeking a versatile and experienced All-Rounder Handyman to join our team. This role involves a broad range of maintenance, repair, and technical tasks across various facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with the ability to supervise and lead maintenance activities. Duties
- Carry out routine and specialised maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Repair and install electrical systems, including wiring and fixtures, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Perform welding tasks as required, utilising various welding techniques.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and diagrams to facilitate repairs and installations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Manage programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes.
- Supervise maintenance teams during large repair or installation projects, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal or external client requests promptly and professionally.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, schematics, and PLC programming.
- Proven experience in welding and general maintenance tasks across industrial or commercial environments.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively.
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising or managing maintenance staff.
- Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings.
