About the role
Green Street Butchers is looking for a dedicated, service-driven person to join our team in Bath. This role is perfect for someone who's passionate about quality food, excellent customer service, and keeping standards high.
As the face of the shop, you'll help bridge the gap between traditional butchery and premium food service — making sure every customer gets a warm, professional, and personal experience. You'll support the management team in delivering great hot food, coffee, and retail across the shop.
What you'll be doing
Cooking & food preparation
- Preparing and roasting meats to Green Street standards for breakfast and lunch service
- Keeping consistency, quality, and presentation high across all food items
- Helping with sandwich prep and hot food service
Customer experience & service
- Acting as a brand ambassador for Green Street in every customer interaction
- Running the hot food section with confidence and efficiency
- Preparing coffee to a consistently high standard — grinding, dosing, and pulling balanced espresso shots, steaming and texturing milk, and keeping drinks consistent cup to cup
- Keeping the coffee station clean and organised, including regular cleaning and basic upkeep of the espresso machine and grinder
- Taking customer orders accurately and managing expectations around wait times
- Handling feedback professionally and positively
Operational standards
- Keeping your section clean, organised, and efficient
- Following food safety, hygiene, and compliance procedures at all times
- Taking your turn on the dishwasher rotation and deep-clean schedule
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture
