Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for food safety and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient sourcing as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of shortages or required supplies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Serve dishes to customers when required, providing excellent customer service
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential
- Previous experience in meal preparation, serving, or similar roles is desirable
