We’re looking for a Kitchen Porter who’s organised, reliable, and ready to get stuck in. You’ll play a key part in the daily rhythm of the kitchen — cleaning, supporting prep, and keeping everything flowing behind the scenes.
What you’ll be doing:
· Operating the dishwasher and cleaning crockery, pans and utensils to spec
· Keeping kitchen floors, prep areas, and equipment spotless and organised
· Managing food waste and general rubbish safely and hygienically
· Deep-cleaning kitchen equipment, fridges and storage areas on a schedule
· Assisting chefs with basic prep such as washing and peeling ingredients
· Unpacking deliveries and helping store stock correctly using FIFO
· Replenishing clean tools and kit to keep the line moving during service
· Maintaining food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
· Communicate clearly with the wider team and support colleagues when needed
What we’re looking for:
· Experience in a commercial kitchen (ideal, but not essential)
· A tidy, methodical approach and pride in doing the job properly
· A calm, team-focused attitude with good communication skills Calm, collaborative and positive under pressure
