Duties
- Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and menus
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times
- Help with catering events, providing support in meal preparation and service
- Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Support cooks in various culinary tasks as needed, contributing to a team-oriented environment
- Participate in training sessions on food safety and culinary techniques
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is an advantage
- Understanding of food safety practices and regulations
- Basic culinary skills with a willingness to learn and develop further
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a team player attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
