Shooting Stars Nursery in Hinckley is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Nursery Practitioner to join our Under 2s team.

As a Nursery Practitioner within our Under 2's team, you'll play a key role in supporting children's individual care routines, development and wellbeing through meaningful interactions and responsive care.
- Acting as a key person for a group of babies and young children
- Building secure attachments and supporting children's emotional wellbeing
- Providing high-quality care, including feeding, changing, sleeping and personal care routines
- Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that support learning and development
- Observing, assessing and recording children's progress in line with the EYFS
- Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for babies and toddlers
- Supporting children's communication, physical development and early social skills
- Working closely with parents and carers to ensure continuity of care and learning
- Following nursery policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, health and safety, and child welfare
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide exceptional care and education
We would love to hear from candidates who have:
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 2 applicants may also be considered)
- Experience working with babies or young children in a nursery or early years setting
- A good understanding of child development, particularly for children under 2 years old
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A warm, patient and nurturing approach
- A genuine passion for supporting children's early learning and development
