About the role
We are looking for Production Operative / Cable Harness Technician to join our growing manufacturing team in Newcastle-under-Lyme. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working on high-quality specialist products for customers in defence, aerospace, rail, marine, and motorsport.
If you have experience in cable harness assembly or a similar hands-on manufacturing role, we would love to hear from you. We offer a competitive hourly rate, a £500 signing-on bonus for candidates with 2+ YEARS relevant experience (upon completion of 90-day probationary period), and full training on our products, processes, and systems.
Responsibilities
- Build products in accordance with drawings, work instructions and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Follow internal processes and quality procedures
What you'll be doing
You will be trained to carry out a range of assembly and manufacturing tasks, including:
- Wire Preparation (Cutting & Stripping)
- Crimp and solder terminations
- Assembling electrical and electronic components
- Applying heat shrink and associated materials
- Following build instructions for harness and electromechanical assemblies
- Recording work activity and job progress using internal systems
Requirements
Essential skills
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred experience
· Previous experience in cable harness assembly or a similar hands-on manufacturing, wiring, or electromechanical assembly role (around 3 years preferred)
- Ability to follow work instructions, drawings and wiring diagrams.
· £500 signing-on bonus for candidates with 2+ YEARS relevant experience – upon completion of 90-day probationary period.
