Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bench Joiner/Carpenter to join our team. This role involves working on bespoke timber projects, including fabrication, assembly, and installation of high-quality joinery products. The successful candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a workshop or on-site environment. Experience with various hand tools, power tools, and construction techniques is essential. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise specialised skills within a dynamic team committed to craftsmanship and excellence. Regular overtime available paid at time and a half.
Duties
- Fabricate customised timber components according to detailed drawings and specifications
- Assemble joinery products using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Operate a variety of hand tools such as chisels, saws, planes, and measuring devices with precision
- Use power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and routers safely and effectively
- Install joinery items on-site, ensuring accurate fitting and finish quality
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment adhering to health and safety standards
- Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or Carpenter within a construction or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of carpentry principles, joinery techniques, and fabrication processes
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for precise timber work
- Demonstrated commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship
Pay: £16.00-£18.50 per hour
